As much as I’ve talked about Kevin Keller and Veronica #202, it would be remiss of me to wait a long time before I, at least, gave my first reactions to the...

In the first episode of “The Geek and Nerd Show”, we’ll talk about the awesomeness that is “Inception”, Archie’s new gay friend Kevin Keller, whether or not Jughead is the original gay Archie Comics character, the new Scooby-Doo animated show, and more. I’d say this first episode was a rousing success, but I’ll warn you...

Archie Comics is keeping their storytelling game up with Jughead #202 and Archie #611, and I’m glad. In #202, Jughead, being obsessed with Film Noir movies, starts wearing a trenchcoat and talking like Humphrey Bogart. However, his obsession gets him involved in solving minor crimes around Riverdale, starting with Dilton asking Jughead to help...

Anyone who’s a longtime Archie Comics and/or Jughead fan knows how important the suspenders are to Jughead’s character and overall look. I guarantee you that in any Jughead book you pick up, Jughead will be wearing his classic black or red suspenders (sometimes the colorist gets outrageous, and those times are like rare gifts)....

My birthday came recently, and as a present to myself, I went and bought some comics from the local bookstore. I’m sure I’m behind the 8-ball when it comes to these particular comics I’m about to review, but I think their merit bears repeating. I generally like all of the Jughead comic book stories,...

Subtext is seen in everything. Why else do people think Bert and Ernie are gay, Daphne and Fred were doing the nasty when they often split up to “look for clues” and that Prince Naveen is two steps away from being a man-slut? Subtext is the untold story behind every marketed canon story, and...

Robot Chicken‘s Tom Root wrote Jughead’s milestone 200th issue, happily injecting it with a crazy shot of adrenaline. The storyline involves Jughead walking into a mysterious diner with a witch for a waitress who, after selling Jughead the sandwich of his dreams, asks for something important in return-his metabolism. Thus, a chain of events...

I’m glad that Archie Comics, Inc. has now come into the 21st century. Their output as of late has been nothing short of prolific for this nostalgic comic company rooted in the early ’40s-updating their lines to have “New Look” stories, having Archie marry both Veronica and Betty in separate scenarios, giving their lineup...

Jughead has always been a popular character, but now he’s even influencing runway fashion! At trendhunter.com, they’ve uploaded pictures from the Dharma Taylor Autumn Winter 2010 collection, and suspicious pointed hats are seen throughout. Runway fashion is totally different than regular everyday fashion, however. If you’d like to look cool like Jughead, it’s possible!...

The dynamics between Jughead and his friends are always fun to sort out and analyze, but there is one set of dynamics, as commenter “mystic_blue” from the JugheadxBetty livejournal community Never Noticed Before, pointed out, which is Jughead’s interactions with his family. Let’s take a look at how Jughead interacts with his family members....

(www.adam-amy.com) First, a note: Remember the article I wrote about Jughead through the different ages in America’s counter-cultures? Well, lately, I’ve been thinking about what I wrote, and I think I have another counter-culture that I didn’t initially include; the bohemian lifestyle. Thanks to the History Channel and their documentaries on the hippie culture...

I know Jughead is the eternal bachelor, but that hasn’t stopped me, along with a lot of fans and Archie Comics, Inc., from visualizing what it might be like for Jughead to be in a relationship. There have been Debbie, Ethel, Joani Jumpp, Trula Twyst, and January McAndrews, but the two girls I’m going...
