No one’s ever heard of a woman Watson before (unless you believe in the theory that Watson from the Sherlock Holmes books was intended to be a woman), but now we will, and not only will Watson be a woman, but she’ll also be a minority.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lucy Liu (Southland) has landed the role of Watson for CBS’ Elementary. Johnny Lee Miller (Dexter) has already been tapped to play Sherlock Holmes.
This is going to be unique, yes? I gather they are going to pull a Moonlighting and have a detective team that falls in love with each other. We’ll see what happens with this. What do you think about this?
