“Pan Am”: The petition to save ABC’s 1960s show

Maybe strength in numbers will work to save Pan Am. Credit: ABC

I don’t have a lot of time to do research for Pan Am-related posts such as the one I wanted to have ready today–a post concerning Asians in the workplace during the 1960s–due to something that happened causing the internet not to connect to all of the computers in my house (and there’s a lot of people in my house that need computers; we now have to share the one computer that does have the internet). So I just thought I’d make you guys aware of a petition that has started in order to save the show.

You can sign the petition here. Personally, I’m going to just let it ride. Not like I hate the show–I love the show, despite the plot lines decreasing in believability. But I think that ABC will do whatever they want with Pan Am, no matter what the public says. People–including myself–signed a petition to save The Playboy Club, a show that was just picking up steam once it got cancelled three shows in. Look where that’s gotten us–still no Playboy Club.

So, if you do feel it will do some good, go ahead and sign the petition. It is the thought that counts, and who knows? Perhaps ABC will listen.

I flew for Pan Am during that time! I urge you to continue the show, but please try to make the dialogue clearer. The 707 interior scenes are incredibly realistic.

Hi, Corinne. Thanks for your comment. As for continuing the show and its dialogue, I’m not in charge of the show–I’m not affiliated with ABC. I just write about it. I’d like it to be clearer, too.

Looking forward to next season’s continuation of Pan Am.

Love watching Pan Am … I remember our neighbor across the street in Illinois was a hostess for Pan Am … even called them “glorified waitresses” not knowing she was one of them! Needless to say, we became good friends before we moved away! Can’t wait until next season of Pan Am!!!
