I’m now officially confused. Is ABC cancelling this show or not!? Here’s why I’m confused:
New promotional pictures: At SpoilerTV, there’s a gallery of new promo pictures that were posted November 19 (click here to view). My first time visiting this site was a few days ago, so hopefully I would have had this news up earlier if it was at a site I usually frequent. However, November 19 was between the time in which there was “Is it cancelled or not?” talk going around. Why would there be extra promo pics released if it is going to be cancelled later on anyway?
Pan Am being free on iTunes: If you go to iTunes right now, you can watch all of the episodes for FREE. What does this mean? I don’t know. I don’t know anything anymore.
I think what has to happen is that I just have to wait until January to see just where this show is going to go. Even if ABC and Sony do straighten out the tailspin the show is in right now plot-wise, would it be too late? I mean, the whole fall/winter season went by where the show’s ratings just dropped lower and lower. By now, the word on Pan Am being a visually fun, but terribly written show has stuck. Will both ABC and Sony ramp up their marketing come next year? I’m just so confused. So confffuuuuuuussseeeeddd…….
What do you think? Is this show going to get canned? Could it truly be saved?
EDIT: I nearly forgot that there was a new The Real Stewardesses of Pan Am. The fact that there’s a new video tells me that ABC is about to start ramping up their PR again. They are still going to try to make some buzz happen around this show. Perhaps they’re going to start marketing it as a different, new show even though it’s still Pan Am. And, one good idea would be to have a revolving cast so that we see how Pan Am progresses through the years, all the way up to 1990. It could be like Degrassi, which has a revolving cast. Just a thought. Anyway, the latest Stewardesses is below:
