Alice in Wonderland: Battle of the White Rabbits

In anticipation of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, I’ve been listening to the movie’s soundtrack and the secondary cd Almost Alice (which sounds like a great band name!). The last track of Almost Alice is “White Rabbit”, covered by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Here’s their live version:

Their version of the song stands up to the original, but, being a purist, I immediately gravitate more towards the original (and more straightforward-sounding with its musical trippiness), sung by Jefferson Airplane.
Decisions, decisions. I think it’s fair to say it’s a tie, but which one do you think is better?
