Due to Disney’s new revision of Alice in Wonderland about to hit theaters this week, one stops to think about the many adaptations of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale, but I doubt if many have seen the first ever film adaptation. Made in 1903, this English film captures everything the other adaptations have tried to capture, and in some cases, creates a more realistic and more fantastic world. The special effects and costuming is very radical for this time (I’m sure people back then were freaked out by the human-sized rabbit, among other things!). Check it out!
