The two-hour television event Smallville: Absolute Justice was awesome. Why was it awesome, you ask?
1) Seeing costumed crimefighters on television was fantastic. It was even more fantastic that the costumed crimefighter idea-something that people believe only works on the big screen-worked just as well on the small screen. Surprisingly, the costumes held up very well [...]

This year at the Super Bowl, an ad that’s sure to grab attention is Steelers’ player Troy Polamalu as “Punxsutawney” Polamalu. The commercial is promoting a new TruTV series about the behind-the-scenes lives of NFL players during the 2009-10 season called NFL-Full Contact. Major events covered in the show will include the NFL kickoff, the [...]

I hate Hollywood for two reasons:
1) They have a penchant for whitewashing things, and this movie is latent with what can be perceived as whitewashing.
2) Even when Hollywood makes enormous, mammoth-sized mistakes like changing characters’ skin colors and ethnicities, they can still sucker people in to see movies by making them look so %#$@*& cool!
Also, [...]

Pixar’s been giving hints and clues about upcoming releases through their Disney-Pixar facebook page. First, they have reported that starting next week, they will put up photos of new characters from Toy Story 3. But even more mysteriously, they have added a screenshot of Mr. Incredible looking at his Wall of Glory from The Incredibles [...]

I’m going to have to start doing these music posts ahead of time. Everything seems to keep happening on Monday, making me forget about Music Monday!
Anyway, for many people, there was a mystery singer performing during the Les Paul tribute at the Grammys. For those not in the know, that singer was Dublin-born rocabilly singer [...]

The Grammys this year was, in a word, awesome. How awesome was it? Let me count the ways (in no particular order):
1. Jamie Foxx and T-Pain and Slash and Foxx’s excellent sister and Robert Downey, Jr., introducing them. The introduction alone was awesome-two opera singers supposedly injecting “class” into the proceedings, followed by Foxx belting [...]

In the Super Bowl commercial for The Last Airbender, producer Frank Marshall announced that all four types of bending will be seen. The bending will also be in the trailer, so watch out for that, too. The Super Bowl airs Feb. 7, and the trailer will debut a few days after on the 12th.

By now, I’m sure most of you have heard that CBS is not airing an ad for Mancrunch.com, a gay dating site during the Super Bowl. The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, or GLAAD, has since asked CBS why they have decided not to air the ad, but CBS hasn’t put for a statement. [...]
